Warren County VINE and MOVANS
Missouri's current service is the Missouri Automated Victim Notification System, known as MOVANS. State DPS says alerts cover county jails, the Department of Corrections, and court status. For local jail notices, DPS now points users to the dedicated MOVANS portal. The old VINELink app or phone routine is no longer the path.
Warren County's participation is not confirmed by any sheriff page. So availability must be phrased conditionally. The statewide system is built to cover local-jail events, though. If a name returns nothing, the cause could be a misspelling, a different arresting agency, or a feed that is temporarily offline. A misspelling is the most common snag.
Missouri Local-Jail Alert Change
The Missouri DPS transition notice details the 2026 change affecting Warren County local-jail alerts.

Local jail and detention users must register again, per the notice. Phone and VINELink app notifications no longer work for local-jail events. SMS text and email are the current methods.
Plenty of older instructions are now unreliable. A legacy Missouri guide walks through phone enrollment with a four-digit PIN. Those steps no longer apply to local-jail registration. Anyone with an alert set up before the change should assume it lapsed. Registering fresh is the safe move.
Run a Warren County VINE Check
Start with the current state portal, using careful identifiers and a close look at possible matches across agencies, then confirm any uncertain status directly with Warren County.
- Open the current Missouri MOVANS portal.
- Select Missouri and the relevant local-jail or custody option shown by the current interface.
- Enter the person’s first and last name. Add an offender ID, date of birth, or age only when the current form offers it and the information is known.
- Review all possible matches. Compare agency, custody location, identifiers, and status rather than relying on a shared name.
- Open the matching result and read the source agency and last known custody information.
- If Warren County or the person is absent, call the Warren County Sheriff’s Department at 636-456-4332 and ask MOVANS for support at 573-526-1929.
Partial-name searching, statewide agency selection, and age filters appear in Missouri's older public guide, but the live form decides what is offered now, so never force a legacy step onto a changed interface.
Warren County MOVANS Search Screen
The current MOVANS destination is the state screen for local custody search and alert registration.

Interfaces change over time. Follow the prompts on screen. Save the agency name attached to any match before acting on it.
Missouri DPS takes questions at movans@dps.mo.gov. The office also answers at 573-526-1929 when a local-jail search fails. For a direct custody question, the Warren County sheriff is the authority to call.
Warren County VINE Result Fields
MOVANS reports status and sends notifications. It is not a booking-report archive. Results vary by source agency and by what the interface allows, so treat each field as a custody clue that still needs source confirmation.
| Result item | Meaning and limit |
|---|---|
| Name and offender ID | Helps distinguish matches; confirm shared names with more than one identifier. |
| Custody status | The last status supplied to the system, which can lag a fresh change. |
| Facility or agency | Identifies the reporting custody source, not necessarily the arresting agency. |
| Custody reason | May describe the reported basis but is not a court disposition. |
| Reporting agency | Shows where the data came from and where verification should begin. |
| Photo, if available | Not guaranteed and never a substitute for identity confirmation. |
| Notification options | Current local-jail choices are SMS text or email under the 2026 transition. |
A Warren County weekly arrest report holds different details. It lists booking number, arrest agency, agency held for, charges, and bond. It may document a booking that MOVANS does not show. The PDF is text-only, with no booking photographs.
Register Warren County Custody Alerts
Register from the current result page, not a saved legacy guide, since Missouri's system transition means local-jail users must set up alerts again.
- Find and open the correct person in the current MOVANS system.
- Choose the notification or registration control associated with that record.
- Select SMS text or email for a local-jail notification. Do not expect phone-call or VINELink App delivery for that local channel.
- Enter the requested contact details and complete any confirmation step presented by the live portal.
- Save the registration confirmation and source agency so a missed or unclear notice can be investigated.
- Update or repeat registration if the person transfers to a different system and the portal requires a new subscription.
Alerts can cover release, transfer, or another custody event where supported. They are informational only. A notice can arrive late, arrive twice, or never arrive, so urgent safety decisions belong with direct law-enforcement contact.
Warren County Alert Registration
The captured DPS custody-notification registration page provides official state context for enrollment.

Prefer the state page over third-party app claims. Missouri warns that MobilePatrol and Missouri Sheriff Connect are not affiliated with MOVANS. The Warren County sheriff lists no official mobile app. Its Facebook channel may announce weekly reports, but social media is not an alert enrollment tool and builds no stable arrest archive.
Legacy VINELink Instructions Explained
The older Missouri public-user guide described choosing Missouri Statewide. Readers could select all agencies or just one. Searching ran by offender ID or name, with partial entries, plus an optional birth date or age. It also described opening a result for custody details and possible photo information. That same document covered telephone registration, PIN use, and VINELink app pathways. Those steps help readers understand old references. They conflict with current DPS direction, though. Since May 2026, Warren County local-jail users register through the current MOVANS flow. They pick text or email.
- VINE
- The broader victim-information and notification network referenced by older material.
- MOVANS
- Missouri’s current automated victim notification system.
- Transfer
- A move from one facility or custody system to another.
- Custody status
- The reporting system’s last known state, not a court finding.
Note: the old PIN and phone guidance is historical for local-jail notifications and should not override the current Missouri DPS portal.
Warren County VINE Check Limits
A booking processed moments ago may not appear yet. Warren County publishes no live roster or any same-day feed for recent bookings. The sheriff website posts seven-day arrest reports instead. For a fresh booking, the Warren County Arrested Today fallback pairs two checks. It combines direct sheriff confirmation with a MOVANS check. Local MOVANS and VINE do not reach federal Bureau of Prisons, ICE, or U.S. Marshals custody, and a federal transfer requires the matching federal locator. MODOC Offender Search handles state custody or supervision. That is separate from a fresh county booking.
| Custody question | Use |
|---|---|
| Current Warren County custody | MOVANS plus sheriff confirmation |
| Published county booking | Sheriff weekly arrest report |
| Filed Missouri court case | Case.net or clerk |
| State prison or supervision | MODOC Offender Search |
| Federal or immigration custody | BOP or ICE locator |
Every tool tracks a different point in the process. Someone released from the Warren County jail drops off a current-custody lookup, yet the older weekly arrest PDF can still sit on the site with his or her booking listed.
Warren County Arrest Alert Context
An alert only tells you that custody status changed. Warren County bookings enter charges when a person is processed. Those charges are not the whole story. To see where an arrest actually stands, check Missouri Case.net. The Warren County Circuit Clerk does too. A fresh case can take days to appear after the arrest itself. Closed, sealed, juvenile, and expunged matters may show little or nothing to the public. So confirm the person's identity first. Then check the case details before acting on any Warren County alert.
